For those who don't know me yet: My name is Anja. I am a Swede doing my Internship at The North-West Passage and I am in charge of the Social Media Marketing for a couple of months ahead!
So how has the first month of my Internship and stay here in U.S. been?
I am really happy with the tasks I am doing as an intern for The North-West Passage. I feel that I am 'learning by doing' which means I get to try out different strategies, and add the touch I think will work on differents posts on the blog, Facebook and Instagram, that is very exciting! I can evaluate it all and instantly find out what is working and what is not! Which to me is the beauty of Social Media.
Besides my Internship being awesome, so is my life here in San Diego!
I live in a house close to the Beach and the Pacific Ocean with two roommates. My days and weekends are filled with activities such as hiking, traveling or relaxing on the beautiful beaches that are so close by!
There are of course a lot of bars and nightclubs to visit if the desire to go out dancing comes and the choices of where to go out are limitless.
I would say that time does seem to fly, but that is how it is when you're having the time of your life, I suppose!
Here are a few pictures from the latest 30 days here in the states.
As we mentioned before, Neurogan is a Start-Up company run by the owners of Hyperikon. They are now searching for their next Marketing Intern who will commit to a full time position starting summer or fall 2018.

We helped Sandra get her J-1 visa, so with our assistance she was able to have her internship at the Super Bowl 2018!
We are thrilled that she got the opportunity to do such a cool internship and we wish her the best of luck in her further carrier! Would YOU like to come to the U.S and do an exciting internship too?
Josipa did her internship at IFERS where the duties included organizing charity activities, attending fundraising events, and corresponding with sponsors, companies, students, professors, and others in support of the services provided by the Institute.
Assignments were design for the intern to gain knowledge about NGO structures and organization, learn about project and event planning, improve communication skill by corresponding with sponsors, companies, students, professors, and others in support of the services provided by the Institute.
Due to the awesome job she made, we are now able to offer the same placement to another student.
My name is Anja and I’m an event management student from Sweden. I chose to have my three month long internship here at The North-West Passage, located in beautiful (and sunny!) San Diego, California.
As an intern, my tasks is to run the social media marketing for TNWP, which for example means that I will be the one posting in the blog you see on our website. I will also be running our Facebook, Instagram and much, much more!
The reason of why I wanted to have my internship in the U.S. is simple!
I wanted to challenge myself and get the experience of working abroad. When I realized I could combine my passion for traveling with an internship, nothing was going to stand in my way.
I believe that an internship here in the states is something more than a boost to my resume, it’s a life changing experience as well and I would encourage everyone who is thinking of either applying for a summer job or doing an internship to go for it! It will be the best thing you do.
Also, if you have any questions about the process to get here on a J-1 visa, or how the life in the U.S is, you can contact me by the e-mail address below ANYTIME (in both English or Swedish), and I will do my very best to help you!
All the best
