We offer different internships and graduate programs all over California, but If you are ok with long sandy beaches and near perfect climate year round, join us in San Diego where our network is the strongest.   • Internships

    What Are The Prices?
    The cost of us helping you find an internship in San Diego is $995 and that includes all the administrative work and support from the day you apply until the end of your internship. You won't be charged for the program fee until you accept a placement. See below what's included.

    • Personalized matching, placement, and on-boarding.
    • Full-time opportunities — on a semester, summer, or customized basis.
    • A network of host organizations in mainly Southern California - San Diego​.
    • Assistance with your housing search.
    • Resume review and revision.
    • Welcome orientation.
    • Stipend of approximately $500 per month (depending on type of internship).
    • Visa costs are not included as explained below.

    The fees above cover your placement costs, but you will also need to get the necessary J-1 Visa to be allowed doing an internship in the U.S. For information on this, please read more under Internship Visa.

    How Does It Work?
    1. Send us an email with your wishes and requests, preferably with a resume attached. Please also let us know a little about your studies so we can determine that you are eligible for this type of visa.
    2. We will establish a connection and set up a Skype call to go through what to expect from an internship placement in the U.S., as well as the placement process, costs, time frames etc.​
    3. A follow up is made to establish a mutual understanding of our process.
    4. Matching with an existing placement or local outreaches to new partners are made and when a suitable placement is determined, we will present information of the company along with interview details.
    5. An interview between the Host Organization and the applicant is coordinated and takes place.
    6. Once you are offered a placement and choose to accept, you will move forward with applying for your visa​.
    7. When you accept a placement and we officially send in your visa application, this is when you make a financial commitment. But don't worry, cancellation rules are good should something happen!​
    8. The placement fee is due when the visa is approved.

    *The Host Company will always have the final say in offering an internship or not. We can therefore not guarantee to successfully place all candidates, but we are committed at helping you the very best we can. We are primarily helping to match you with our existing partner companies, but we may also search for new partners depending on your wishes, skills and experience.

    How Long Will It Take To Find A Placement?
    We recommend that you apply 4 to 6 months before you wish to begin your internship. This gives us enough time to look for potential host companies and find you the perfect internship. You will also need time afterwards to apply and receive your J-1 Visa as well as arrange for transportation and accommodation before you arrive in the US.

    Will My Internship Be Paid?
    We have successfully been able to get almost all our partner companies on board with offering a monthly stipend of $500. This is paid out as a salary every two weeks and will help cover a big portion of your initial fees for the visa and the placement help. As an intern you are expected to cover your own living expenses through financial student aid or personal funds. A paid internship is never guaranteed and it differs between industries, but you will always know what the stipend is before accepting a placement.

    Where Will I Be Placed?
    The North-West Passage is located in San Diego, so most of the Internships will be in and around San Diego. But we are sure you will love San Diego as much as we do!

    What Are The Prices?
    The standard cost of us helping you find a paid graduate program is $995. Should ​we be successful in finding a placement paying $2000/month or more, your costs are instead 50% of a month's salary. That includes all the administrative work and support from the day you apply until the end of your traineeship. You won't be charged for the program fee until you accept a placement.
